Central Government on its way to “One Tax One Nation” had made its first step towards implementation of GST by way of PROVISIONAL REGISTRATION OF GST which had begin from 30th November, 2016 in West Bengal and will remain available till 15th December, 2016 only. Please note that Provisional Registration for GST can be done by VAT Registered dealers in West Bengal. Following are the list of documents required for Provisional Registration of GST- (i) Valid Email ID & Mobile Number (ii) Registration Certificate Copy under Vat, P.Tax, Service Tax, Excise Act, or any other statute. (iii) Proof of Constitution of Business: - In case of Partnership firm: Partnership Deed of Partnership Firm - In case of Others: Registration Certificate of the Business Entity (iv) Photograph of Promoters/Directors/Partners/ Karta of HUF (v) Proof of Appointment of Authorized Signatory and Photograph of Authorized Signatory if he different from the above mentioned person. (vi) No of Bank Account holding as on the date of Opening, Opening page of Bank Passbook/ Statement containing Bank Account Number, Address of Branch, Address of Account holder and few transaction details. (vii) Proof of Principal Place of Business such as Property Tax Receipt, Current Electricity Bill, Bank Statement containing details of Principal Place of business, etc (viii) Details of Any Additional Place of business such as Branch Office, Depot, etc along with the proof of such Additional Place of business. (ix) Details of Goods/Commodities supplied by the business or details of any services offered by the business.
